·      DBMS stands for Database management system

·      It is used to perform the operations on a database

·      Operation means to insert, deletion,updating of records

·       DBMS is classified into four types

·       Flat-file DBMS:

 We can store the data in the form of file & folders i.e. Data present in any driver of your computers

·      Hierarchy DBMS: 

We can store the data in the form of tree structure like parent and child relationship (folder & subfolder)

·        Network DBMS

We can store the data in the form of network styles which means one data is interconnected with another data

vRDBMS

·      RDBMS stands for Relational database management system in RDBMS we can store the data in the form of row and column-like table structures

·      Row are also known as tuples / Records

·      Columns are known called as attribute/fields

·      RDBMS table is also known as a relational database object
